Alien Sculpt

A character sculpt built in ZBrush, textured in Substance Painter, and brought into Houdini for final lighting and rendering. The sculpt focused on surface detail and skin texture, with the texturing pass handling albedo, roughness, and subsurface scattering maps. A KineFX rig was used to pose the character for the final hero render.

Spaceship Kitbash

A fully Houdini-based kitbash project exploring hard surface design and USD-based asset workflows. A custom Python script handled automatic material assignment by reading geometry name conventions and building the material network without manual wiring. The final asset was exported as a USD for rendering in Houdini Solaris, keeping the lookdev non-destructive and easy to iterate on.

Robot Concept Sketch

A concept exploration for an organic robot design, sculpted in ZBrush with an emphasis on blending mechanical and biological forms. The design was brought into Houdini Solaris and rendered in Karma, using a simple lighting setup to keep focus on the silhouette and surface quality of the design itself.

Procedural Gummy Character

A fully procedural character generator built in Houdini, capable of producing characters with adjustable body shape, proportions, and limb count entirely from parameters. The rig was generated procedurally alongside the geometry, adapting automatically to whatever configuration was set. A Mixamo motion transfer setup was built into the network, allowing animations from Mixamo to be retargeted onto the custom rig using IK-based constraints, making it straightforward to test different motions without any manual animation work.
